HOW WE
WORK

We believe that financial planning is not all about your money; it’s about you, your life and what you want to get out of it. So, whether that is working towards a happy retirement, long-term financial security or protecting your loved ones, your goal is our goal.

The stages of your journey with us

We’ve been providing expert financial advice for more than 40 years. Over the course of that time, we’ve learnt a lot about what our clients want and need, and how we can best serve their needs.

Our work together typically progresses through the following four, important stages. We call this our WealthPlan Process;

OUR WEALTHPLAN PROCESS

STAGE 1

Getting to know each other and your goals.

Understanding your circumstances and financial situation. We pride ourselves on our personalised service which means we never use a one-size-fits-all approach to financial planning.

STAGE 2

Understanding and analysis

We'll review your existing financial plans, policies and commitments and undertake a period of thorough research to allow us to assess your objectives against your finances and make our recommendations to you.

STAGE 3

Designing and implementing your strategy.

Preparing your personal report detailing tailored financial recommendations for all the areas you wanted to review.

STAGE 4

Ongoing service

We aim to build long-lasting, trusted business relationships with all our clients. As life changes, so we will be by your side to offer our support and adapt your financial plan to make sure it keeps paces with the changes in your life.

Stage 1. Getting to know each other and your goals

The purpose of our first meeting is for us to get to know one another better. We will introduce ourselves and provide you with information about our business, how we work, the services we provide and the costs of those services.

We’ll also ask you to tell us about you; your personal circumstances, the reasons you’ve come to see us, what your short and long-term goals are and what your concerns are. We pride ourselves on our personalised service which means we never use a one-size-fits-all approach to financial planning.

Fees:

This meeting is always held at our expense.

Stage 2. Understanding and analysis

The next stage of the process begins with the gathering together of your financial and personal information. We’ll review your existing financial plans, policies and commitments and undertake a period of thorough research to allow us to assess your objectives against your finances and make our recommendations to you.

Fees:

A fee of £995

Stage 3. Designing and implementing your strategy

Once we have completed the preparatory work, we will then prepare your personal report detailing tailored financial recommendations for all the areas you wanted to review. In partnership with you, we then agree the recommendations you wish us to implement and devise your investment strategy.

We will help you complete the relevant applications and take as much of the administrative work from you as possible, keeping you updated on progress at all times.

Fees exempt from VAT:

Lump Sum

3% of the first £100,000 invested, then

2% of the next £100,000, then

1% of the balance over £200,000

Regular Premium

An amount equal to 20% of the first 12 months contributions

If you invested £100,000 and the agreed charges were 3%, this means £3,000 excluding VAT would be immediately deducted from your investment, or paid to us directly.

An example of a regular premium fee

If you invested £100 per month and the agreed fee was 20% of the first 12 months contribution, the total fee would be £240.  If you choose to pay this in instalments, £20  would be deducted from each of the first 12 months contributions.

Stage 4. Ongoing service

We aim to build long-lasting, trusted business relationships with all our clients. Essential to this are the regular reviews we will undertake with you to ensure your arrangements continue to best serve your goals and objectives. As life changes, so we will be by your side to offer our support and adapt your financial plan to make sure it keeps pace with the changes in your life.

Fees: exempt from VAT

If you elect to receive our Ongoing Service, we will charge you a percentage of your investments based on the level of service you’ve chosen. This will be deducted from your investments.

We offer three levels of ongoing service:

WealthPlan,  WealthPlan Lite & AdHoc

An example of our ongoing fee for WealthPlan

If you invest £100,000 and the agreed ongoing service fee is 1%, you will pay £1,000 per annum excluding VAT, payable on a monthly basis from the first month after you invest.  The ongoing service fee may increase as the fund grows.

An example of our ongoing fee for WealthPlan Lite

If you invest £100,000 and the agreed ongoing service fee is 0.65%, you will pay £650 per annum excluding VAT, payable on a monthly basis from the first month after you invest.  The ongoing service fee may increase as the fund grows.

We also offer an AdHoc Service - ideal if you want to manage your own financial plan - please ask for a copy of your ad hoc charges schedule.

All ad hoc work will be carried out on an hourly rate basis, with a minimum charge of 0.5 hours work.

Additional information on fees:

Please note, you will never incur a charge before we have agreed to the scope of the work we are to undertake for you, and the costs of that service.

Please also be aware that if you decide not to progress to Stages 3 and 4, our fee for Understanding and Analysis still applies.
